Today is the classic Green Witch.  I do these every Halloween.  This a 12 year old done only with Snazaroo.

Interesting fact:  The first green witch was actually in the movie, The Wizard of Oz!

Historically witches were usually illustrated with orange or reddish skin tones.  The old hag of a witch was a featured character in fairy tales, and pretty good witches are also portrayed.   The Wicked Witch wasn’t even green in the book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. She was a movie creation because it looked good in Technicolour which was a new process at the time the movie was made and the movie makers wanted to make good use of the contrast!
